The Canine Center has a GAT4DOG walkway to evaluate the gait of dogs. This tool aides in identifying the source of lameness in a limping dog. It is also useful in monitoring response to treatment in painful patients, after joint injections, and those with chronic pain from arthritis. The mat has electrodes embedded into it that measures pressure as the dog walks across. The information is then converted into a numeric score. A copy of this report is then forwarded to the owner after analysis.
