Lasers are being used frequently in veterinary medicine. The Canine Center has 2 lasers, one for surgery and one for therapy. Information about use of each type of laser follows. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
Surgery Laser
Many soft tissue surgeries performed at the Canine Center utilize a surgical laser. The advantage of the surgical laser is decreased pain, swelling, and bruising. It also allows us to perform surgeries we could not do before such as correcting elongated soft palates and eyelid tumor removal.

Therapy Laser
Therapy Lasers have been used in chiropractic offices and are now being used more frequently in veterinary medicine. It is another alternative for pain management, and is used frequently for management of arthritis. It is also useful in helping heal knee injuries and decrease inflammation with back pain to name a few.
