As a new client of the Canine Center in Lake Villa, you can expect our full attention to your dogs’ needs.
When you arrive for your appointment, after being greeted and your dog’s weight has been recorded, you will then be ushered into an examination room.
In most cases our medical staff will start by asking about your dog’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. Your dog’s vitals will also be taken and we may also take a picture for our records.
If your dog has special needs please notify us when making your appointment so we can best accommodate your request.
Then our veterinarian will examine your dog’s medical history and perform an exam. The doctor will discuss treatment options with you. We perform a risk assessment to help determine the vaccines that your dog may need.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
Our medical staff will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer any remaining questions for you. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow up.
Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
